It could be warm apple crisp... or pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream ... or caramel dipped apples also dipped in chocolate and rolled in toffee bits ... well, I do love fall goodies!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...my favorite Halloween treat is mini candybars - I have to wait until the last minute to buy our Halloween candy otherwise it's gone before the trick-or-treaters get here!!

Me and my sweet tooth need these cookies. =) I don't have a favorite treat...my favorite part is just letting myself use Halloween as an excuse to eat the yummy candy!
ReplyDeleteOh so fun! My favorite thing to make for the kids on Halloween night before trick-or-treating is "mummy dogs"....wrap a hot dog with a strip of refridgerated cresent roll dough to look like a mummy. Bake until golden brown and add two small yellow eyes w/ mustard. Watch the kids gobble them up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim for a fun giveaway!
Jessica
Sounds like a yummy giveaway! Thanks!

Love all your ideas!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween treat to make (and I've been making them every year since my daughter's been in school....which is 10 now!) are Witches' Hats. They are simple to make.
You buy the Keebler pre-packaged chocolate striped cookies. Turn the cookies upside down so that the stripe is on the bottom and the chocolate is on top. Unwrap Hershey's kisses and "glue" a kiss into the middle of each cookie using a dab of chocolate frosting. Using gel frosting from a tube, in orange, purple, or lime green, outline the Hershey's kiss and make a tiny bow at one end to resemble the ribbon on a witch's hat.
They are super simple, festive, and very yummy!
Happy Halloween, all.....
My favorite Halloween treat is a new one: spice cake balls with cream cheese frosting. Yummm! I also love candy corn and the chocolates with krispy bits. I'd love to win some ghostly cookies!
ReplyDeleteI'm a HUGE fan of pumpkin! I make a MEAN pumpkin pie, and soon I am going to try these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies - I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a fan of the candy corn. :)

Every year, our boys invite their friends over to make caramel apples. They pick the candy which includes m & m's, candy corn, gummy worms, chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, pretty much anything you can imagine & they go crazy-you can't believe how much candy they can get on one apple!
ReplyDeletePumpkin Spice Cupcakes are my favorite!!

ReplyDeleteYUM! My favorite Halloween treat are the little bags of mini sour gummi worms! I always buy those to give the trick-or-treaters! Plus, I've discovered that if I have a sour worm or two it makes the baby kick ; )

My favorite Halloween treat is Pumpkin Whoopie Pies! Delish!
ReplyDeleteDear Kim
ReplyDeleteMy treats are not quite the usual treats. Not sweet but cut. I am from PR and we make these cute spiders made of plantain. We shred the green plantain and make them in a small ball, then we pull out some of the shredded plantain from the plantain ball to make the legs. Fry them in oil and put a bit of salt and "wow" they taste delicious. I make these little creatures for my kids at this time of the year. If anyone is interested in the recipe I'll be glad to share it.

Who doesn't love Candy Apples? They are fabulously sweet and of course a little healthy being an Apple and all..wink wink!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE candy apples this time of year!!!!

ReplyDeleteHomemade caramel apples count, right? email is cowgirldebutante@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteThat orange and pink tutu is to die for! For Halloween treats, I love those white choc covered Nutter Butter ghosts! Mmmm... my sister makes those every year and I eat them until I am sick!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the cupcake toppers for Reagan! I am so excited to use them!
I too am a pumpkin lovin freak!! Can't get enough of it this time of year, pumpkin bread with pumpkin cream cheese is divine!! But my favorite halloween treat is probably the Mary Jane's. Chewy peanut butter and molassas...mmmmm!!
ReplyDeleteI also make special Halloween meals for my kids. Last year it was mummy dogs, cheesy brains & guts salad (aka. crescent dogs, mac n cheese & jello with fruit). They loved it and asked for cheesy brains for weeks afterwards. I guess I need to start thinking about this year's Halloween meal. Those ghost cookies would be the perfect dessert!!
My favorite halloween treat by far is Candy corn! Especially the pumpkin ones! I could eat a whole bag at one sitting.... : )
