{Real Parties} Cameron's Art Party!

You are going to LOVE this party! You may remember this creative momma from when we featured this fabulous party a couple of months ago! Lauren recently contacted us to help with the designs for her daughter Cameron's 6th birthday party. Unfortunately, we were booked on custom work but Lauren did an absolutely fabulous job on her own!

The party started with personalized aprons for the guests as they arrived. Normally, the favors are given at the END of the party, but they gave them out early so the guests could wear them during their art projects. They had Art Stations throughout the party and did activities such as "Draw a Self Portrait" and "Make a Masterpiece" where they made bracelets and decorated butterflies. They also had "Nail Painting" and "Face Painting" areas. So much fun!

Lauren got very creative with the food.....

Lauren, you did another fantastic job!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us!

{Real Parties} Toni's Twins' Surf Birthday Party!

I am so excited to share this party with you today! My assistant, Toni went ALL out for her twins' 13th birthday party this year! I can't tell you how proud I am of her party planning skills! I recently designed this new surf collection for another fabulous customer with twins, and it was perfect for this twin party, too! I am so impressed with all of the details of this party! Absolutely amazing job, Toni! The gorgeous photos by Kathy Scoffield capture everything beautifully!

Hi all! It's Toni here with all of the details......

Backyard Decor:
I was lucky enough that I had a dear friend who owns all of these tables, chairs and linens that happened to match perfectly with the colors of the party! She also let me borrow the adorable monkeys that I used as centerpieces. I was also able to get some great deals on luau decor from several stores as they were clearing out all of their Summer items! Lucky me! These beautiful lanterns were courtesy of Polka Dot Market! They were perfect!

Cool idea:
We rented a Slushie Machine, and gave the kids each two "drink tickets" that were in their cups waiting for them on the tables!

The Food:
Corndogs, fresh fruit kabobs and individual size snack bags were easy and perfect for the kids! The snack bags contained Beach Bunny Bites (caramel popcorn), Bahama Mama Mix (Munchies Snack Mix) and The Big Cheese Daddy (cheese puffs)! All topped with custom labels from The TomKat Studio, of course! The cute scalloped bags are from Walmart and it was perfect that the kids could just pick out their favorite snack. I got this idea from here. (We had a lot of grown-ups here as well, so we had "grown up" food inside the house!)

Yummy Cupcakes:
What else could I possible serve other than cupcakes?! Courtney & I spent all week baking 5 different varieties...two of which were actually from scratch, thanks to Bakerella and Barefoot Contessa! Courtney and my friend, Wendy spent time together frosting all of these babies on Saturday afternoon! I think Courtney has a real knack for baking! The cupcakes were adorned with TomKat Studio Party Circles and drink umbrellas. So cute!

Fabulous Favors:
Oh...the cookies! They were simply beautiful! Beach balls, beach umbrellas, flip flops and sunglasses! All in bright colors to match the party! The guests - adults and kids alike - could not stop talking about how adorable they were. A big thank you to The Cookie Jar for your creativity! Of course, they were wrapped with a bow and a TomKat Studio favor tag!

My two beautiful children who came into this world 13 years ago.
Happy Birthday Courtney & Connor!

Toni, you did an exceptional job on this party! I know your children are the most important thing in the world to you and I am sure they enjoyed every minute! Absolutely beautiful job! XOXO, Kim

{Sweet Customers} Adorable Little Birdie Baby Shower for Twin Boys!

This adorable shower was in honor of my childhood best friend, in New York. We reconnected last year via Facebook and now she is a loyal follower of The TomKat Studio! She asked me to create a "Little Birdie" boy twin design for her baby shower invitations and cupcake toppers!
It turns out she is quite creative and crafty herself and she took a ton of inspiration from my blog and used it for her baby shower!
She did an incredible job on all of the birdie details!
I hope you enjoy this....
Little Birdie Twin Boy Baby Shower! Details from the guest of honor:
Door Prizes: Frames inspired by the extremely talented Kim at The TomKat Studio! Thanks again for doing all that you do! You are truly a creative inspiration! Centerpieces: Idea came from this Project Nursery post - I substituted paint cans with these already decorated cans from Christmas Tree Shop. I used die cut birds on various scrapbook papers from "kotibeth" on etsy. Put them back-to-back on lollipop sticks and had a mama and two babies in each can (secured with florist oasis, and covered in crinkled paper.) We added two blue balloons to each can to make the centerpieces look bigger and add more color underneath the tent.

Coconut Cupcakes: Recipe from The Barefoot Contessa's Cookbook. Combined the recipe with
Martha's Nesting Baby Blue-Bird Cupcake design with a cream-cheese frosting. After trying many ideas for making birds that would hold up outside for a couple of hours (firm frosting, blue jordan almonds, Gumdrops), I ended up creating the birds out of vanilla cake pops, inspired by Bakerella! They worked out perfectly & were delicious!

Blue Cupcakes: Also were Coconut cupcakes, but I used a firmer Decorator's Buttercream Frosting recipe from
Epicurious for these. Cupcakes were garnished with TomKat Studio's adorable cupcake toppers & sprinkles! Invitations: Custom designed by The TomKat Studio! Totally adorable, and received lots of wonderful feedback on how great they were!

Thank you for sharing your shower with us, Margie!
I hope it was worth the wait! {the very long wait}
Your twins are adorable!
XOXO, Kimmi

Sweet Customers: The Sweetest Sweet Shoppe Party!

Bethany, a local Phoenix crafty momma, has been a loyal blog follower of mine for awhile! She wrote me a few months ago about how she loves to plan her daughter's birthday parties and go all out, just like I do! Well, she has been working for months on crafty party stuff for her daughter, Gentry's Sweet Shoppe party...and boy, did she go ALL OUT! Every detail she made is absolutely fabulous! At the last minute, her printer wasn't working so she asked me to create a set of cupcake toppers for the party! Of course I wanted to help a loyal reader out, and also I loved that she mentioned me several times in her post about the party! Bethany is a photographer, so there are many fabulous pictures to check out! Here are a few of my favorite, and you can see the rest on her blog HERE! Enjoy....this party is really YUMMY! {all photos via Hissyfits Photography}
