{Valentine's Day} Parenting Magazine Mention & Free Printable Designs!

What a great way to wake up on a Monday morning! I was contacted a couple of months ago by an editor at Parenting Magazine to give a few ideas for a family night in for Valentine's Day. I suggested a few activities and created free printable files to go along with them! The issue will hit the stands this week!

Activities I suggested:

Scavenger Hunt :: Mom & Dad could hide clues around the house for the kids to find. The hunt could end with a fun basket of goodies, including a new movie for the family to cuddle in and watch!

Heart Hunt :: For little ones, the parents could cut out hearts from various colored papers and tape around the house. The kids will love the excitement of spotting and collection all of the hearts throughout the house! Once they reach a certain number of hearts, they win a prize! There could be a special heart (like a golden egg at Easter) that wins them a special treat if he/she finds it!

Love Notes :: Each family member could write a love letter to each of the other members of the family (in advance). They could take turns reading the love notes to each other and show their appreciation for one another.

We {Heart} Baking :: After dinner, everyone could bake up some easy treats for dessert. Cupcake decorating is always fun! Or, parents could set up an ice cream sundae bar with fun Valentine’s Day candies for toppings, all in red/white/pink!

{Press} Thanksgiving Entertaining Ideas Today on Sonoran Living Live!

I am so excited to be going on Sonoran Living this morning! Well, actually...I'm quite nervous. It will be my first appearance on television and it will be LIVE! I know Stephanie, the host will be fabulous and guide me through our 4 minute segment! I will be displaying a Thanksgiving dessert table, along with a children's table. I hope to give some great tips on styling dessert tables and activity ideas for the kids. I will be showcasing our Pears & Pumpkins Printable Collection, as well as Paper Glitter's adorable Thanksgiving coloring page!

Hello friends!
Things sure are busy around here! I am overwhelmed with my to-do list right now! Lots of exciting things going on...I just need to get going on everything!

PRESS NEWS!

I have been invited to appear on ABC15's Sonoran Living Live, our local lifestyle show on Friday, November 12th! I will be displaying ideas for Thanksgiving and the Holidays! I am so nervous, as it will be my first television appearance as a party stylist....but SOOO excited for this opportunity!

I am also now going to be on the radio regularly! You may remember my interview with Mathew Blades of Mix 96.9. He has asked me to be a part of a fabulous panel called "Women Like You" that will discuss fun and interesting topics a couple mornings a week! Check out the panel and our podcasts so far HERE!

I knew that I was going to be part of a highlight of Martha's website, Dreamers into Doers. Caitlin, the fabulous coordinator of the site, mentioned it to me a few days ago...but THIS? Me? My photo is on the main page of Martha Stewart!?? It's Martha, Martha, Martha & Me! It's not at the bottom, it's at the top! Whaaaat?!? {Real Parties} "Tea with Trista" Alice in Wonderland Tea Party & Fashion Show!

We recently had the amazing opportunity to work on a fabulous event hosted by My Vintage Baby, featuring Trista Sutter (of Bachelorette fame)! We were contacted by Melissa Darst, talented photographer for help styling the event and creating the paper goods. We worked closely with Melissa, along with the owner, Jessica of My Vintage Baby on ideas and designs. I designed the cupcake toppers, table names, menus, signage, favor tags and labels. They were the perfect "icing on the cake" for this gorgeously styled event! The event was hosted to debut MVB's fall collection, which Trista had a hand in designing! Check out all of the fabulous details of this spectacular event!

{Upcoming Events} Tea with Trista hosted by My Vintage Baby!

A few weeks ago, we were approached by a fabulous photographer to help style an upcoming event, Tea with Trista hosted by My Vintage Baby, a gorgeous clothing line! Trista would be the Trista Sutter! The posh tea party is being held to unveil My Vintage Baby's new Fall and Winter line, featuring the launch of Trista's new Winter Rose collection. We are so excited to be a part of this event, especially when we heard that a portion of the proceeds from their silent auction will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

The theme is Alice in Wonderland. Hmmm...perfect, since we have some experience with this one! The event itself sounds amazing....a showcase of the new collection, silent auction, prizes, and of course the opportunity to meet sweet Trista!

I recently created some fun designs for a fabulous event, Sophie's Book Club hosted by Jayneoni Moore. Celebrities and their children gathered to launch Sophie's Book Club, a summer reading initiative designed to raise awareness and encourage children to open a book! The sign shown above on the bookshelf, {right above the lovely Nancy O'Dell!} was one of the designs I created!

The event has been featured on People.com and ChildMode!

The wonderful ladies of Project Nursery created this gorgeous reading corner for the event!
