{Sweet Customers} Alexa Cate's Pink & Orange Party!

Oh my, this party is absolutely GORGEOUS! Do you remember Kristy from F8 Kids Photography? We recently worked together on her sons' firetruck birthday party, see here. Kristy also asked me to help with the designs for her daughter, Alexa Cate's 2nd birthday! She requested bright pink, yellow & orange, and a simple and girly design. I was really busy during the time she needed everything, so I only was able to design the invitation, but she did an amazing job carrying out the colors and design style throughout the party! Kristy worked with Kim from Sweeties again on the oreo cookies, oreo pops & chocolate letters!

Are you swooning over the beauty of this party?
I sure am!
Kristy did such a beautiful job with everything!

{Sneak Peeks} Nautical Crab Birthday Party & Little Red Wagon Baby Shower!

Good morning! I thought I would share a few little peeks from my busy weekend! First up was Tommy's Crab Birthday Party! Aren't the fondant crabs ADORABLE? Melissa from Decadent Delights (Gilbert, AZ) made them, along with fabulous cutout crab cookies that we used for the party favors! I made this welcome sign using a wood life preserver from HomeGoods! All of the party details and photos will be coming later this week! I also styled a baby shower this weekend hosted by my neighbor for her sister-in-law! She decided on a red & baby blue WAGON theme and everything turned out super cute! Here is a little peek of the centerpiece we put together!

I'll be back soon with more photos of these fabulous events, as well as the winner of our Le Papier Studio Fabulous Giveaway!
Happy Monday!

{Teacher Appreciation} Notecards & Flowers

Teachers are amazing. They give and give so that our children will learn and grow under their wings. My son attends a Kinderprep that is absolutely amazing and we love his teacher, Carrie! We wanted to make his teacher a little gift to show how happy we are to have her!
I also made up a couple sets of notecards for my friend, Vicki to give as gifts to her kids' teachers! I'm still loving all of the colors and designs from my Fairy Garden collection, so I translated them into notecards and little sweet tags!

{Party Planning} Dreaming of Kate's Fairy Garden Party...

{lily pulitzer poms via traylor papers}

Still dreaming about it, but not getting anything done! I'm having a creative block for designing Kate's invitations, (the first step)! I've come up with quite a few, but none are "clicking" just yet. In the meantime, I thought I'd share more inspiration photos so you can dream along with me....

Sweet Customers: Lucia's Little Flower 1st Birthday Party!

I was so excited when I received these party photos from a customer who purchased my Girly Girl invitations! I knew this party would be spectacular since mom, Erin is the owner of Volante Floral Design in Kansas City! I love the bright yellow and pink color scheme she chose! The cake is adorable topped with gerbera daisies! Check out her fabulous yellow rose hanging ball....gorgeous!Erin did a great job staying on budget, and found the adorable giant flower bubble kits at the dollar store, and the flower headbands in the Target dollar section!

I had to post this adorable picture of Vivian! I'm not sure who she is, but she looks so excited for the party! Gotta love the pompoms!

Thank you Erin, for sharing your fabulous party with us! Happy 1st Birthday Lucia!

Crafting: Silk Flower Clippies

{photo via a feathered nest}

I LOVE these flower clips and they look super easy! It seems that it is finally okay for mommas to wear them in their hair, not just little girls! I'm no stranger to gluing bling on to flowers, but I've never made a clippie! Thanks to Abby at "A Feathered Nest" I have the instructions now!

My daughter has quite a huge selection of flower clippies with rhinestones. Before she had pigtails, she wore one at all times. Now, it's momma's turn! My sister-in-law has made some fabulous ones for "big girls", as well as my friend, Thuy!

I love the green jewel on this white flower! Thuy used the same jewels, but in clear for Kate's memo board. (I hijacked it HERE)

These flowers are also adorable to clip on your purse or diaper bag!

Crafting: Martha Paper Peonies

Martha Stewart sent me her "Craft of The Day" today (I subscribe), and I thought these would be fabulous to make and use on my frames!

UNTIL, I clicked on through and looked at the list of 15+ supplies you need and the detailed 16 step instructions! Beautiful, but no thanks! Anything that starts with boiling paper probably isn't worth it.

I DARE YOU! Make these and live to tell about it!

Kid Activity: Explore the Backyard!

While my daughter was napping the other day, my 3-year old son and I went out to spend some time exploring our backyard. Of course we play back there all of the time, but this time we set out to really check things out. I brought along my camera, so we could find pretty things (for me) and cool things (for him) to take pictures of.

I think our our landscaping is pretty standard for the Phoenix area, and never really thought it was anything special. However, after really exploring, I realized those standard plants are quite spectacular. I didn't even realize how many different plants we have out there!

Lately, we have been seeing lizards in the backyard, so we kept an eye out for those. (real lizards, not like the fake reptiles we hunt in the house :) I actually caught a photo of one!

Tommy loved seeing all the photos we took together...especially the one of the lizard!

TomKatStudio Photo Frames: Florie

Meet Miss Florie! She should actually be named Miss Kristi, because she is Kristi's first creation for The TomKat Studio, and she reminds me of Kristi! Miss Florie isn't fussy, she is soft spoken and beautiful. Her neutrality gets along with everyone, meaning she'll fit in with most decor! She is topped with a soft, cream flower that welcomes you like a hug. Her inner glitz and glam come out with her amber colored Swarovski crystals! Florie will be available for purchase at the TomKat Studio Etsy shop soon!
