{Fabulous Collaboration} Heavenly Holiday Party Photo Shoot!

Jaclyne from Heavenly Blooms and I have been following each others' work for some time. We "met" when she submitted a fabulous Olivia party she styled and I featured here on The TomKat Studio! We had been chatting about collaborating on a photo shoot for a few months, when she sent me a few gorgeous inspiration boards for holiday ideas. After swooning over the gorgeous photos, we decided on a turquoise, white and silver color scheme. I designed paper goods including cupcake toppers, favor tags, dessert labels and signs and shipped them off to Jaclyne. She took it from there and coordinated fabulous Orange County vendors for this gorgeous shoot! When I received these photos from Drew B, the talented photographer...I nearly fell off of my chair. Styled to perfection, this holiday party is full of gorgeous decor and ideas. With so many beautiful photos, it was hard to choose which to feature! Jaclyne designed all of the florals, as well as the entire setting along with Gianna from Chic Celebrations. Every detail was attended to, from the dessert table to the lovely tablescape and hot cocoa bar. She even set up a station for gingerbread house decorating for the kids! Melody, the owner of Sweet and Saucy {baker to the stars!} baked up all of the delicious sweets including macarons, coconut cake, mini tarts, cookies and cake pops!

Absolutely gorgeous, right?What a dream to have been asked to design for such an amazing shoot!

{Sweets} Holiday Sweets Cookbook

Kim was recently asked to submit her favorite Scotcheroos recipe for a special purpose.  And that purpose became A Special Collection of Holiday Sweets.  This cookbook has been put together by Carrie from The Sweet Spot Candy Bar and Melissa from Truly Chic Inspirations to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.  100% of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go to this great cause.  As party ladies, we are blessed each year to design/plan parties for beautiful, healthy children. At this time of year, we'd like to take a moment and help out the children who have not been so fortunate, and need our help the most.

Carrie & Melissa have gathered together some of your favorite party ladies from across the country, who have generously donated recipes that are near and dear to their hearts. These recipes have been compiled into one downloadable cookbook, so that you too, can enjoy some of these tasty treats. Each page is done in a way that you can print out the recipe and add it to your recipe box, OR attach it to a gift of baked goods! Some of our contributors chose to share recipe cards of their own design, while others simply submitted recipes. Both ways definitely made for a lovely cookbook!

We hope that you will consider supporting this cause and with that, you will expand your recipe collection!  And I'm sure that there are some fabulous recipes in there that will be perfect for your New Years' Eve celebrations this week!

{Cupcake Monday} Tweet Holiday Collection

Happy Cupcake Monday!  We hope you all had a fabulous Holiday weekend.  Take a look at these yummy cupcakes that one of our readers shared with us.

She made White Chocolate and Raspberry Mudcake with White Chocolate Italian Meringue Buttercream and Chocolate Mudcake with Dark Chocolate Italian Meringue Buttercream.  Can you say delicious??  And she said the Holiday Tweet Collection finished them off perfectly.  We agree.  Thank you for sharing Linda!

I simply can't believe that nearly two years ago, on a whim I started this blog. What an amazing experience it has been. Never did I think it would turn into what it is. I couldn't be happier sharing my ideas and designs!
My very first post was about the Gingerbread Men Cookies that my mom & I made at Christmas time. It's crazy, but I have had so many readers asking for the recipe from that 2008 post! The recipe was from Food Network and I thought I would create a printable page for it, along with some free printable tags for your sweet treats this season! Below are the cookies from that post two years ago! Little did I know that creating tags similar to these would turn into a successful business!

Pretty Pink Gingerbread House to Benefit Neighborhood Housing Services of Phoenix!

I recently designed this fun PINK gingerbread house for the "Home Sweet Home" charity auction event that is happening tonight! I was excited to be asked to participate, along with 25 other local Phoenix chefs, architects, designers and celebrities! The auction benefits the Neigborhood Housing Services of Phoenix, a organization that encourages, creates and supports affordable homeownership.


I used a few leftover paper lollipops made by Icing Designs from another recent photo shoot!

I enlisted the help of my favorite baker, Melissa from Decadent Delights and we had a great time working on the house together! Here are some "in progress" photos....

It was so much fun!
The gingerbread houses are being auctioned off tonight at the After Hours Gallery in Phoenix. Public viewing begins at 6pm! The houses will be on displayed until December 20th!
