TomKat Studio Mention on Hostess with The Mostess!

Oh how do I love thee, let me count the ways....

My favorite party girl, Jenn aka Hostess with the Mostess just gave me another shout out on her popular website! Yippee! Yahoo! I'm doing those leaps of joy around the house again!

Here's what she said about moi:
I first discovered the marshmallow pop idea on Kim’s Lollipop Party feature. She used chocolate and rainbow sprinkles on her marshmallows to mimic the look of Bakerella’s adorable cupcake pops… a genius shortcut, especially when you’re pressed for time!

For Kate's Lollipop Party, I decided to make marshmallow pops after seeing one of the photos above. (obviously not actually reading about them, or seeing this actual photo since it clearly says "cupcake cake bites") SILLY ME....come to find out after the party that those aren't marshmallows, they are CAKE POPS by the amazing Bakerella. I've come a long way, people.

THANK YOU, JEN!

Cupcake Monday: Do You Have THE Cupcake Stand?

Good Monday Morning, my lovelies!

If you've read my blog for any length of time, you've probably read or seen pictures of THE cupcake stand. I orginally purchased it for Kate's Lollipop Party, and have then used it for Tommy's Beach Boy Party, my nephew Jack's Pirate Party & at a home boutique to show off my products! Well, apparently you all like it! I love when my customers share party photos with me. I also love when readers tell me I inspired them and they send me photos of what they've made! So, I've put together all of the photos I have (so far) of THE famous cupcake tower! This stand is made by Wilton and available at Michael's and online HERE!

PERFECT PINK Birthday Party: How Did I Miss This?

Okay girls, I finally caught up on my blog reading. I've been a little preoccupied this week (the house and the shop), so I'm falling behind and I don't like it. I have a favor to ask you.....if you happen to see something on the blogsphere that you think I would love, will you please send me a link? Things are going to be crazy busy for the next month or two, and I don't like missing out on fabulous new posts....like this PERFECT PINK PARTY that Abby of Style Me Pretty threw for her daughter's 1st birthday! I almost missed it. Although, I'm sure one day I would have found it because the blogsphere will be talking about this one for a very, very long time....see why?
My heart goes pitter patter when I see parties like this. Round balloons and rose cupcakes....heavenly.

Find the details and DIY layouts HERE!

Don't forget...I need your help!
You know what I love....pink, cupcakes, parties, pretty stuff...
send it my way! XOXO ~ Kim

New in the Shop: Printable Halloween Party Circles & Invitation Design!

Is it your turn to throw a Halloween Party?
I recently added these halloween designs to my shop! I decided that I am going rebrand my printable "cupcake toppers" as "party circles" because you can really do so much with just the one file! The printable file includes the following designs: chandelier, pumpkin, monster & happy halloween! You can use these to make cupcake toppers, napkin rings, favor tags, party hats, invitations, thank you cards and more! I will be taking new photos and creating instructions for all of these items so you can make them yourself! And the printable party circles file is only $7.00! Find it HERE!
I am also offering a custom invitation background that coordinates with the party circles! So if you're having a kids' party, use the monster circle, or for adult party, the swanky chandelier is perfect! The invitation design is available HERE in my shop for $10. Keep in mind you will need to purchase the party circle file, as well.

I am so excited because I found someone that can help me with illustrations for my designs! As you may or may not know, most illustrations you purchase online are for personal use only, and you cannot resell items using them without paying extremely high fees. Because of this, I have been creating all of my own illustrations (cupcakes, ladybug, lollipops, palm tree, etc). With so many ideas in my head, and not enough time to get them designed, I am going to be using Monique for some of my new ideas! She designed the chandelier and green monster in this collection! (I designed the pumpkin :)

Time to start planning your Halloween party!
More photos and ideas coming soon!

Sprinkles Cupcakes: Say What You Need to Say

I received an email today from Sprinkles (the original cupcake bakery) about their new Message Boxes! What a great idea! You can spell out whatever you want!
They offer a wide variety of predetermined phrases for many occasions, or say what you need to say! Love this custom DIVA one...
If my husband liked sweets, I think I would get him a box that would say K + D = T + K ;)
Who would you order for and what would you spell out?
If you wanted to dump your boyfriend, wouldn't it be funny to spell out "It's Over"...
I wonder if they refuse to use explicit words? People could get pretty creative!
Anyway, I'm loving this new idea, because everytime I see the overhead photo below, I just see boobs! :)

(I hope that comment doesn't offend anyone....
it was meant to make you giggle!)
I am a big fan of Sprinkles cupcakes and love all of their photography!
I hope they don't send me a box that spells out something angry for saying that about the photo. Well, actually it would be okay because I'd still eat the yummy cupcakes.
XOXO, Kim
